Dr. Weed is truly a steward of animal behavior. He is thoughtful and meticulous. When we were conducting positive reinforcement training (PET) in rhesus macaques, he devised and executed a plan to slowly introduce PET to not only enhance animal welfare but ensure excellence in research quality, truly transforming everyone involved!

I have known Dr. Weed for over 20 years. He has a talent for addressing the well-being of animals with the practical application of behavioral techniques to meet specific clinical and research goals. Jim is an incredibly articulate teacher. Early in my own career, I discovered one of his many passions is, of course, training animals but also teaching techniques within his own specialty to people who work with animals. More recently, I recall training goats for plasma collections using a sling and stanchion. Both required animal training but also patience from people working with and handling them. Jim is especially devoted to sharing his knowledge. He is and has always been dedicated to the highest standards.

Dr. Carrier was a wonderful mentor and trainer to me as I began my role in a new position.  She's very experienced and knowledgeable and we were fortunate to have her expertise!  I very much enjoyed working with her and would welcome it in the future.

Catherine is very knowledgeable, highly efficient, and a pleasure to work with.  The staff enjoy her training sessions, and she is always well received.
